International Dark Sky Week Party

2357 Partnerships Inc. are delighted to be partnering with a variety of community groups and businesses to bring you the final celebration event for International Dark Sky Week here in Coonabarabran.

Please register for the number of people that will be coming with you to this event to assist us with catering. 

The event will commence at 6pm and will go until after dark. 

Wear star and space themed outfits for a whole lot of fun… as we celebrate the fact that we are right on the edge of Australia’s only IDA recognised Warrumbungle Dark Sky Park!

Food & Drinks
Coonabarabran Jockey Club are hosting this special event and providing full bar facilities as well as the venue. 

Coonabarabran High School P&C will be bringing you a variety of International dishes, which you can pay $5 per serve. All funds from the meals will go towards fund raising for Coonabarabran High School.

The team from Pilliga Pottery will be selling their delicious gelato for dessert.

Free Activities – Movies, Night sky viewing, Games & Activities

Movie Screening ‘Saving the Dark’ internationally acclaimed movie will be screened for free thanks to our sponsors.

The Astronomical Society of Coonabarabran will be setting up a collection of telescopes so participants can view different aspects of our awesome night sky.

Coonabarabran Girl Guides are hosting a variety of children’s activities… including creating comets to fly through the air, games and more.
