Capture the Cosmos on tour!

Poster: Capture the Cosmos photography exhibition is now on tour. 6pm Thursday 21st November opening at The Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre. This exhibition will run through December.
Capture the Cosmos exhibition heads to Baradine

Capture the Cosmos photography exhibition is now on tour.

Celebrating the new tour location at 6pm Thursday 21st November opening at The Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre. Baradine Central School students will be sharing Indigenous interpretations of astronomical features in our brilliant night skies.

This exhibition will run through December. If you haven’t yet checked out the Pilliga Forest Discovery Centre in Baradine then this is the perfect excuse to do so.

Inaugural Capture the Cosmos Astrophotography Competition awards night exhibition

We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural Capture the Cosmos Astrophotography Competition awards night exhibition.

Join us on the opening night where we will announce the winners and showcase stunning photographs that celebrate dark skies from under the Warrumbungle Shire and around the globe. 

The exhibition will display the winners and a selection of outstanding photographs from a spectacular field of entries. 

When: 6.00pm Saturday 21st September, 2019

Where: Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre, John Street, Coonabarabran

Light refreshments will be served on the evening.

Entry Fees Update

Did you know that you can enter 2 photos per category in the Capture the Cosmos astrophotography competition? With 3 categories in the 2019 competition that means that you can enter a potential of 6 photos… so that means 6 opportunities to win awesome prizes!

We are super keen to encourage all ages to enter with an extra incentive for those aged 18 and under… so get shooting those stars and the awesome night sky! Entries close on the 1st August so be quick!

Adult Fee: 1 Category $15, 2 Categories $30, 3 Categories $45 
Children Fee: 1 Category $6, 2 Categories $10, 3 Categories $15
